Pastor Charity Kamau-Kisang’a was born in Kenya and has lived part of her adult life in Kenya. She holds a Bachelor of Education Degree from Kenyatta University, Nairobi, Kenya, and a master’s degree from Lancaster University, U.K. Pastor Charity is also a Special Education Teacher in Seattle Schools District. She is married to Rev Joseph Ole Kisanga and is blessed with 4 children and 3 grand children
Having received her calling from God in the year 2000, Charity obediently fulfilled this calling with others in the Kenyan Immigrant Community to start a Fellowship in Seattle, Washington. Pastor Charity is one of the pioneers of the first Kenyan church in Washington State and an effective communicator of God’s word for the last 20 years and counting.
The purpose of the fellowship was to bring Kenyans together in Christ, to worship God as one, and to support each other as brothers and sisters in Christ.
She was Commissioned as a pastor in the year 2002. She is one of the pioneers of Kenyan Community Interdenominational Church, Burien, is the Pastor, Moderates the Church Governing Committee, and provides pastoral support to all members and Church ministries.
Her vision is uncompromisingly clear, with one central principle; to preach God’s Word as it is and to build and develop a kingdom of empowered people for God. Holding firmly to the commissioned mandate in Matthew 28:18-20, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations”. Pastor Charity is about sharing the Gospel, she has a mission to make a difference in the church, the community, and in the world. She prepares the people of all ages in accomplishing their vision and goals as they fulfil their purpose.
Rev Joseph Ole Kisang'a was born and bred in Kajiado County, Kenya. He is the husband to Pastor Charity Kisanga. He joined Kenya Community Interdenominational Church in 2014 with a rich experience of 30 plus years in ministry. He served different parishes as a Parish Minister with the Presbyterian Church of East Africa (PCEA) -Kenya. Over the years , he has amassed a vast of experience in preaching and teaching of the Gospel.
He studied Theology and Pastoral Studies at the Presbyterian University of East Africa. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Ministry Leadership from Faith International University USA and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Global Leadership at the same University.
Since 2014, his role has been to preach, share the message of hope, as well as train leaders. He seeks to empower them to be effective servant leaders.
He provides spiritual leadership to men, leading them to an environment of strength and empowerment, and encouraging them to be spiritual leaders in their homes and community.
Joseph is a visionary, gifted and passionate preacher who advocates for outreach and missions. He cultivates a positive spirit throughout the KCIC church family.
He also works hand in hand with the Pastor to ensure that the church’s vision and mission to ‘be the light’ is well understood by church members.
All in all, Joseph has one business in this world; to reach out souls for Christ.
